Ive just started making soap, cold process method. Im finding it quite addictive.
Here is my first batch. its a basic recipe with equal amounts of olive oil, coconut oil and palm oil. i was so nervous my first time that i only added vanilla fragrance and sprinkle poppy seeds on top, and didn't bother to texture it at all. :)  Here is my first batch.

cold process basic recipe with vanilla fragrance

I've become a bit more confident now.
Today I did a second batch. same basic recipe but with cacao powder. this time i textured the top. It currently tucked near my fireplace covered in blankets. Hoping to post some pictures of the second batch soon.

I have also done a melt and pour soap. It was a olive base to which i added Madder root powder, Black raspberry and vanilla fragrance and poppy seeds. I've since learnt that to suspend the poppy seeds through the bar i need to mix them until the soap base firms up a bit more.
Personally Im not really fussed with the melt and pour. its lovely and easy to use but it does tend to attract moisture.
Here is my melt and pour soap.
